Who We Are

FICAC — International Forum on Children Affected by Conflicts

Our Mission

FICAC is a global advocacy platform dedicated to protection, justice and reparation for children affected by armed conflicts, exploitation, extreme poverty and severe violence. We restore childhood, uphold dignity, and fight for a future where no child is forgotten.

Our Vision

A world where every child — regardless of birthplace, context or history — is protected from violence and conflict. A world where survivors become agents of change, respected and heard.

Why We Exist

Every year, children endure the six grave violations recognized by the United Nations. Beyond these, countless children face abduction, sexual slavery, forced labor, stigma, and life-threatening conditions.

“Imagine being abducted at the age of nine. What happened to all your child’s rights?”
“This is a reality.”

Our Approach

  • International Advocacy: We engage with the UN, AU, EU, states and global institutions to demand action.
  • Documentation & Research: We collect testimonies, evidence and contextual analyses.
  • Voices of Survivors: Panels, artistic works, global forums, films and publications.
  • Justice & Reparation: Accountability, recognition of crimes, reintegration support.
  • Prevention & Protection: Strengthening community systems, peace education, support for vulnerable families.

Our Values

  • Humanity — every child deserves dignity.
  • Justice — no crime against a child should go unanswered.
  • Truth — we speak reality, even when uncomfortable.
  • Courage — confronting silence and impunity.
  • Commitment — working with survivors, never in their place.

We Are FICAC
